Born and raised in Tacoma, Christian is running for the Civil Service Board to ensure fair hiring, transparency, and accountability in our local government. With several years of experience working in human resources across both nonprofit and corporate sectors, Christian understands the importance of equitable hiring practices and building inclusive workplaces. As a current Pierce County Civil Service Commissioner, and serving on the Board of Directors for the Tacoma Parks Foundation as well as the advisory council at KNKX public radio, he brings a broad perspective, integrity, and a deep commitment to public service.
Christian is passionate about strengthening our community by promoting fairness and trust in how Tacoma hires and supports its public employees. Outside of work, he enjoys playing pickleball regularly, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops around town, and spending time with his corgi, Bo. He believes everyone deserves a fair chance to serve their city with pride. With your support, we can create a more equitable and accountable Tacoma. Vote Christian Isaac for Civil Service Board, Position No. 2!
I’m committed to building a hiring process that is fair, inclusive, and reflective of Tacoma’s diversity. Everyone should have a real shot at serving their community, no matter their background.
I believe accountability builds trust. I’ll work to ensure civil service systems are transparent, fair, and responsive, so our public employees and community know the rules are clear and consistently followed.
The best decisions come from listening. I’ll make sure community voices are heard, respected, and centered in the decisions we make about how public service works in Tacoma.
Everyone should be able to understand and engage with how our civil service system works. I’ll push for clearer communication, easier access to information, and more opportunities for the public to stay informed and involved.
